Mos Def Responds to Lupe Fiasco

After video footage of Mos Def declaring what appeared to be an open battle challenge to rappers, Lupe Fiasco swiftly answered the call with some jabs via Instagram. But now in a strange turn of events, it doesn’t appear Mos Def wants follow through. In fact, during this new audio interview with ACCE, Mos Def states it was an unauthorized video, and with regard to a him responding to Lupe:

“It’s not how I’m trying to spend my day, man it’s like how Dre said, fuck rap, you can have it back.”

Mos Def also further went on to say:

It don’t got nothing to do with Lupe – Lupe you’re cool do your thing man, there’s no conflict over here man, or bonanza, or spectacle that I’m going to provide in that way, I’m not interested in that at all, but much success to you.
