While the success of Fujifilm’s XT-1 is as strong as ever, the legendary camera maker has just announced the X-T1 IR, which undoubtedly stands for “infrared.” A technology and photographic technique that’s quite old but still being utilized and refined to this day, the X-T1 IR allows for enhanced infrared applications like crime scene investigation photography to health care, by capturing light from the UV, visible and invisible IR spectrums. Current fans of the X-T1 will also be thrilled to learn that the rest of the camera has remained untampered with. Look for the upgrade to hit stores in October for $1,699 USD.
