Some people venture to visit family in their vicinities, while others span the globe in pursuit of an alternative worldview. Photographer and videographer Aleks Kocev falls into the latter category, here presenting a Vimeo staff-approved time lapse of his time on the Annapurna circuit in Western Nepal. The stunning recap highlights the gusting snowy peaks and the flowing uplands of the region, making the most volatile (and historically fatal) 8,000-footer in the world look, well, tranquil.
