Every so often comes an indie horror film that brings a refreshing take to the blood and gore subgenre. Enter BASTARD, a slasher film that centers around five strangers suspected for a string of mysterious murders in an isolated mountain town. With a cast of many fresh faces, the generic “group of strangers” murder plot line is sure to be brought to justice in this tale whose main characters are a suicidal cop, a runaway brother and sister, and a pair of newlywed serial killers. BASTARD hits theaters in America October 16.
