It’s looking virtually impossible for 2016 to even come close to where 2015 is musically. By the end of this year, we should have a Prince album. In an interview with BBC 6 Music, Prince explained the new project, The Hit & Run Album, will be one for the “super hardcore Prince fans.”
“This album is absolutely for them, because it’s super funky. It’s weird, there’s a lot of experimental sound. It’s just hit after hit and definitely caters to those fans who just love to hear what Prince has to say, rather than wanting to always hear that classic Purple Rain Prince sound.”
In addition to his first single “HARDROCKLOVER,” The Hit & Run Album will feature a new version of last year’s “This Could Be Us.
