Nike Kobe X Elite Low "Rivalry"
Nike Basketball pays homage to the Black Mamba’s high school rivals.
Few things can light a fire under a player and motivate in the way that an archrival can — a point that’s been especially true for Kobe Bryant over the years. With that in mind, Nike Basketball is paying homage to the Black Mamba’s high school rivals for the latest release of Kobe’s signature kicks. Aptly dubbed “Rivalry” and coming in the form of the Kobe X Elite Low, the release adopts a Total Orange/Laser Orange-Tumbled Grey-Black colorway as a nod to Lower Merion High School’s rival Chester Clippers — a team against whom Kobe scored 31 second-half points in an overtime thriller on the way to delivering Lower Merion’s first state title in over 50 years.
