This was another substantial week for music. Making the cover is Atlanta’s iLoveMakonnen with his highly buzzing track, the Richie Souf-produced “Where Your Girl At?” Bad Boy Records made a big return at the BET Awards this year, and Diddy ended off the incredible medley performance with a catchy new song featuring Pharrell titled “Finna Get Loose.” This week was also big for remixes: Flosstradamus and 4B came through with one for Fetty Wap’s “My Way,” Shemce dropped an upbeat rendition of A$AP Rocky’s “L$D,” Flume’s released an outstanding remix of Collarbones’ “Turning,” Penthouse Penthouse delivered a laid back version of Elijah Blake’s DeJ Loaf-featured single “I Just Wanna,” and hip-hop legend Pete Rock blessed us with rework for Panda Bear’s “Crosswords.” Other notable tracks include Action Bronson’s Alchemist-produced “Voodoo,” Toro y Moi’s “That Instead of This,” and Yasiin Bey’s collaboration with Electric Wire Hustle, “Marigolds.” The Playlist also includes music from Ramriddlz, Safe, Tory Lanez, Anderson Paak, Crystal Castles, Oh Wonder and more.
