Ed Hardy & Von Dutch Founder Christian Audigier Passes Away at 57
The French fashion designer and entrepreneur lost his battle with cancer at the age of 57.
As first reported by TMZ, French fashion designer and entrepreneur Christian Audigier — the man behind labels like Ed Hardy and Von Dutch — has passed away at the age of 57 after a battle with cancer. Said his longtime publicist Michele Elyzabeth, “I just heard the news and I am truly devastated. Christian was an incredibly brilliant man. He will be missed.” Audigier was first diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a bone disease, back in January. At the time of his death, the designer was worth nearly $250 million USD while his own brands are currently available in over 40 countries across the globe.
