Dr. Dre Is Releasing New Music in August

While making the rounds for the Straight Outta Compton promo run, Ice Cube unveiled some new information regarding Dr. Dre‘s next project. According to Cube, Dre has a new album coming out on August 1, though it’s not the Detox we all dream of. Dr. Dre’s next musical moves will apparently draw inspiration from the forthcoming N.W.A biopic and his Compton roots, while also managing to coincide with the release of the film. Ice Cube broke down Dre’s next releases and revealed the news as such:

“He’s dropping something on August 1st…It’s mega, it’s Dr. Dre, it’s what everybody’s been waiting for…It’s definitely a dope record, and he’s dropping it all on the same day.”
