Recently, Birdman was invited to Power 105.1 for an interview with Angie Martinez. There, for the first time, he opened up about his ongoing situation with Lil Wayne. Since last December, Baby and Weezy have been going at each other after it was reported than Wayne sued Cash Money for $51 million for withholding his long-awaited LP, Tha Carter V. He shares:
“[It] was shocking to everybody. I never thought Mula would be saying nothing negative about me, ever…So that man open his mouth and say something negative about me, that was a lot — that sh*t f*cked my day up. I love my son. He mean the world to me. For that man to say something negative about me, that affected my life.”
On top of that, he explained that Nicki and Drake will be staying on the label as opposed to the rumors of them leaving, and that he did not throw the drink at Wayne in Miami’s Club Liv nor did he and Young Thug organize an alleged shooting against Tunechi, to which Birdman describes to be “the craziest sh*t [he's] heard in [his] life.” Watch the interview above.
