ASICS GEL-Lyte III Vegetable-Tanned Leather $500 USD Sneakers

Vegetable-tanned leather sneakers seem to be the craze these days, especially after Hender Scheme started producing its interpretations of popular silhouettes. However, ASICS has decided to create its own vegetable-tanned leather GEL-Lyte III silhouette, which incorporates an entirely leather construction on the upper so that they will break in and develop a natural patina through wear. Unlike the Hender Scheme offerings that remove air cushioning aspects such as in its Air Jordan 4 rendition, which replaced it with a wooden sole, these ASICS retain the original Gel cushioning soles. Limited to just 300 pairs worldwide, these made in Japan sneakers will retail for $500 USD.
