1953 Carrozzeria Ghia 8V Supersonic Expected to Fetch $2 Million USD at Auction
Not too outrageous if you factor in the $600,000 USD restoration cost.

We have already seen an one-off Lamborghini concept car and a Ferrari Testarossa from “Miami Vice” put up for auction last week, and now a 1953 Carrozzeria Ghia 8V Supersonic is set to hit the Quail Lodge Auction next month. The tenth 8V Supersonic made by the Italian car design firm is expected to fetch between $1.8 million USD and $2.4 million USD, though the hefty eight year restoration process that ran in excess of $600,000 USD most certainly boosted up the price. The vintage car’s extravagant jet style body is painted in a beautiful blue color, while the plush interior features Italian doeskin-tan leather seats. A completely rebuilt transmission, new tail lamps and wheel discs, and original Borrani wire wheels finish off the design. For more information head over to Bonhams auction house.
