Villa Altona by The Common Office
Surrounded by lush foliage a result of the Ice Age, the stunning structure features a brightly lit interior and industrial design.

The Common Office have designed a home surrounded by a forest in Törnskogen, Sweden. Named Villa Altona, the stunning structure is situated among lush foliage, a beautiful piece of nature formed by the last Ice Age. The building is divided into four narrow units, each barely 3 meters wide and a building facade that adopts and integrates itself into the landscape. A centrally placed skylight fills the interior with sunlight, and illuminates all surfaces, while large windows all around further contribute to the building’s transparency. Large sliding walls act as doors to section off private areas, while the interior normally features a large continuous area. With an industrial interior, the home is a beautiful structure that manages to integrate itself into its lush surroundings.
