Justin Bieber‘s longtime manager Scooter Braun has likened Justin Bieber’s ongoing artistic evolution to past fluctuations and transformations in Bob Dylan’s career. Speaking to Billboard about Bieber’s recent stylistic switch-up, Braun compared Bieber’s current creative shift to Bob Dylan’s move towards electric guitar-based music in the mid 60’s:

“It’s like Bob Dylan: He pissed people off, but whenever he switched, he reinvented himself in a way that made him who he is today.”

Now, whether Bieber will end up becoming respected like post-N’Sync Justin Timberlake or continue to move in the direction of different, less traditional “pop” sounds remains to be seen.
