'Rise of the Tomb Raider' E3 Gameplay Reveal

Lara Croft is set to make her return to consoles this holiday season with the release of the Microsoft exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider. First seen earlier this month via the “Aim Greater” trailer and highlighted today in greater detail at E3, the latest installment of the action-adventure franchise from Crystal Dynamics follows up 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot, and follows Croft and Jonah Maiava as they search Siberia for the ancient city Kitezh — built by the Grand Prince of Vladimir in the 13th century — which Lara believes holds some truth behind immortality. Throughout her adventure, players will make use of a crafting system to create a variety of items from scavenged materials as Croft races against the well-funded Trinity — the same organization that covered up her experience of the supernatural on Yamatai.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is being developed for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 and is due out November 10.
