New Balance is expanding its women’s portfolio by adding two popular mid-’90s men’s silhouettes to its current offerings, with the 999 and 1600 both being introduced as part of the upcoming ”Tartan” pack. Inspired by traditional Scotland kilts, the shoes feature a premium suede upper with pops of tartan on the toe, tongue and collar. The shoes offer a modern take on a retro style, with the tartan adding an unexpected twist to a streetwear-inspired look. The Tartan Pack will be available starting on July 1 from retailers such as BAIT and Rime, with prices ranging from $110 to $120 USD depending on your preferred style.
