Annually celebrating black entertainment and its rich culture, the BET Awards is currently underway at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, the night will include a slew of performances by high-profile artists such as Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, The Weeknd, Fetty Wap, Future and more. Best Male Hip Hop Artist nominee Kendrick Lamar also performed, playing the energetic “Alright” off his acclaimed sophomore LP To Pimp a Butterfly. Commemorating the honorable distinction, Lamar included a new verse during the live performance of the standout track, which can be viewed above.
