Y-3 presented a strong range of forthcoming footwear for the 2016 spring/summer season recently at the Lycée Carnot during Paris Fashion Week. As part of the “3 Stripes in Motion” collection, which takes inspiration from the human body in motion, the selection of sneakers sees new colorways of familiar silhouettes as well as the introduction of the brand new “Kyujo” model. Firstly, the Qasa High trainer is presented in a clean colorway; the heritage hi-top holds the same mixed material construction and rubber Tubular outsole, and is swathed in all white.
The Kyujo silhouette is offered in mid-top and low-top styles with various black and white graphic combinations across the upper. This bootie has an interior made of technical knit fabrics and features overlaying criss-crossed leather panels that wrap around the foot, and sits atop a uniquely shaped lightweight, white outsole. While it will be some time until the Kyujo is available to consumers, the solid white Qasa High is now available for pre-order online at a price of $400 USD. What do you think of Y-3’s newest footwear models?
