Concepts x New Balance 575 "M-80"

Again turning to its Boston-based compatriots, Concepts reprises its relationship with New Balance to offer up a summer-inspired iteration of the 575 silhouette. Neatly dubbed the “M-80” – which is the technical term for a type of handheld firecracker – the brands drew inspiration from summertime cookouts while integrating other distinctly American elements. A suede base layer is sublimated with variations of a paisley pattern, which are nicely collaged together under a clean beige overlay. These features rest atop a cushy midsole imbued with New Balance’s proprietary RollBar, which was originally designed to prevent overpronation for runners, but is otherwise useful in keeping feet stable and supported.
