Aligning well with the utilitarian-based design ideals of previous WTAPS collections, the Japanese brand has released a monochromatic velveteen slip-on for 2015 spring/summer. Through referencing and drawing inspiration from the silhouette of a Vans Classic Slip-On, WTAPS has rendered the model to feature a supple velveteen upper that leads through to a monochromatic tonal outsole. The shoe is lined throughout with a soft, high-quality leather and is finished with a branded “PLACING THINGS WHERE THEY SHOULD BE.” heel plate with cotton canvas banding around the tongue collar. The WTAPS velveteen cotton slip-ons can now be purchased from HAVEN for $173 USD.
