Aamer Architects have redesigned a semi-detached home in Singapore, creating a structure that belies its other half. The redesign sees the home break free from its twin, with a design that is centered around open spaces and ample lighting. A three-meter-wide fissure was also opened up to create an elongated passage into the home that is lit from above, where one also enters the building. Playing with light and textures, the architects were able to create geometric shadows that spill across the interior through structures such as the metal staircase.
