Kanye Thanked Cher for Using Auto-Tune

Although T-Pain likes to take credit for the popularity of auto-tune after maintaining heavy reverb on all of his vocals in the early 2000s and even having been rumored to go as far as accusing Kanye of not offering proper recognition for 808s & Heartbreak’s success, Kanye obviously sees it otherwise. We learned that in a chance meeting between pop legend Cher and the Wests at New York’s Met Gala earlier this week, he took the opportunity to thank her for her use of auto-tune on her 1998 record “Believe.” She also explained to a fan on Twitter that her and Kim shared stories on both of their trips to Armenia as both women are of Armenian-American decent.
@blanktgt She was very Gracious. We talked about our trips to Armenia.Kanye
