After making a surprise appearance at the highly anticipated Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight to sing the national anthem, famed actor-singer Jamie Foxx stopped by the Ellen show this week to chat about his experience in the music industry. While the Texas native has had quite a lucrative acting career, Foxx explains that his journey in music has not been quite as fluid, hitting many road bumps on the way to being accepted as a singer in addition to an actor. Jamie goes on to describe how music superstar Kanye West facilitated his career, as well as recounting the recording of popular songs “Slow Jamz” and “Gold Digger.” Check out the whimsical interview above.
