The Fender Custom Shop has just launched a preview of the Fender 80 Proof Blues Junior Amplifier, stunningly encased in repurposed whiskey barrels. Using the reclaimed wood, the amplifier is a functioning piece of art, accented by brass knobs, a leather handle and a brass control plate. To top it all off, the Fender logo is seared into the wood. The amplifier sounds as good as it looks, outfitted with 15 watts of all-tube power, reverb and an upgraded Jensen P12Q 12-inch speaker. Limited to 100 pieces, the amplifier retails for $1,999 USD.
