Diplo, CL, RiFF RAFF & OG Maco - Doctor Pepper

This is a crazy way to start your weekend. Diplo has shared a new posse cut entitled “Doctor Pepper,” featuring K-Pop star CL, RiFF RAFF and OG Maco. If this song didn’t have the Diplo name attached to it, this might not make too much sense and come across as a possible mess, but this one doesn’t disappoint. As he always does, Diplo makes sure his enlisted cadre of collaborators works together well. Those who frequent EDM-friendly clubs and festivals can probably expect this to hear this at least a couple times this year. In a statement to FADER regarding the song, Diplo had this to say:

“‘Doctor Pepper’ is something that might not register that well with actual K-pop, seeing as it’s a straight Atlanta-style rap record, but the net around K-pop is so wide that it can be anything with confidence and style. Thats what CL brings to it.”

CL also mentioned that the song came about accidentally. After Diplo cancelled a session with her, the frustrated, Dr. Pepper-sipping songstress rushed to write something so she could “go home as soon as possible.” The result: the song below.
