Céline’s surprise move of naming 80-year-old writer Joan Didion as the new face of its latest campaign may have started a new trend among fashion houses. Marc Jacobs is the latest fashion brand to cast an iconic elder for its advertising campaign as revealed on Instagram by Katie Grand, the editor of Love Magazine. The 69-year-old “Goddess of Pop” was photographed by David Sims in a black floor-length gown from the New York-based brand’s 2015 fall collection, layered with a leather jacket and leather gloves to complete the look.
