Louis Vuitton recently unveiled ”Objets Nomades,” a collection exhibition being held at Palazzo Bocconi in Milan. The presentation, which name means ”mobile devices” in French, has a unique blend of refined country cottage and jungle themes with its sophisticated home decor and Louis Vuitton trunks that sit amongst lush banana leaves. Other furniture pieces include the Campana Brothers’ biomorphic Cocoon chair, atelier oi’s woven-leather hammock, Patricia Urquiola’s hanging leather Swing chairs, and Louis Vuitton’s own leather chairs that mimic a blossoming flower. Charlotte Perriand’s La Maison au Bord de l’Eau is a prefabricated beach house that sits within the display’s courtyard that guests can enter for a look inside. Interior decor includes ornate shells, animal bones and other similar knickknacks, picture frames, potted plants and textured, leather-fringe lamps that dangle from the ceiling. “Objets Nomades” is undoubtedly exquisite, as the furniture and tropical foliage stand against the ornate backdrop of the 19th-century palace’s Neoclassical palazzo-style architecture with its vast floor-to-ceiling mirrors.
