MIT is not only known to be one of the most prestigious post-secondary institutions in the world, it is also known to be one of the few schools to give an academic voice to influential artists such as Lil B and Young Guru. Recently having given a lecture at NYU, Atlanta’s own Killer Mike from Run The Jewels will be speaking as part of MIT’s Hip-Hop Speaker Series for a talk titled “Race Relations in the U.S” on Friday, April 25. Listeners of Mike’s music will be aware that the rapper has always been an advocate of social and political awareness in his music. Keep an eye out for more information and upcoming footages from this talk.
