Artists such as Taylor Swift and Florence + the Machine could be tempted to sign deals worth millions in support of this new digital music initiative. TIDAL is using a similar tactic, offering artists up to $3 million USD and 3 percent of the company in exchange for their exclusive content. Bloomberg has reported that Beats Music is set to offer the service of standard quality audio at the price of $9.99 USD a month ($120 USD a year), four times the average person’s expenditure in iTunes.
