While Apple Officially Unveiled Its Watch, Android Launched This Watch Ad

Android has released a new TV spot for its Android Wear as a gentle jest towards Apple before the latter’s “Spring Forward” conference at which the details for the highly-anticipated Apple Watch were further fleshed out. Just 17 seconds long, the ad takes a decidedly ’80s aesthetic, touting Android smartwatches of all different shapes and sizes before ending with a shot of a round smartwatch face (in contrast to the Apple Watch’s rectangular body) and the tagline, “Be together, not the same.” Taking the opposite stance to Apple’s “one size fits all” approach, we will have to see after April 22 which philosophy resonates more within the smartwatch market.
