Designing and releasing your own sneaker is about to become easier than ever, with independent school Pensole Footwear Design Academy and crowdsourcing program Rooy Inc. joining forces to create a platform to make aspiring footwear designers’ dreams come true. The two companies have secured $4 million USD in funds to launch this new platform, where designers will submit their designs, and the community of members can vote for the best idea. Winning designs will work directly with Pensole and Rooy to bring their ideas to life. Currently, there is no timeline for when the website will be live, but it may be time to get your creative juices flowing for the next big pair of kicks.
