BBC Radio 1’s legendary long running DJ Zane Lowe is all packed and ready to join the crew over at Apple, however, not before throwing down one last killer set at the place he has worked since 2002. The final program saw Zane and his co-workers chopping it up, sharing stories and recounting their favorite albums of the last 12 years. Some of the records that graced the list were works like Arcade Fire’s “Keep the Car Running,” Artic Monkeys’ “I Bet You Look Good On the Dance Floor,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe.” The final song, chosen by Lowe personally was Queens of the Stone Age “A Song for the Dead.” After over a decade long run at BBC, Zane launched and interviewed some of the biggest names in music today. No word on what his position at Apple entails just yet but watch for more details in the coming weeks. Listen to the final show here.
