Nike Kobe X "Vino"

In collaboration with Kobe Bryant, Nike is about to release another iteration of the KOBE X model, the KOBE X “Vino.” Throughout his career , Kobe has always encouraged his teammates to embrace challenges, reach their potential and strive for success. With five world championships under his belt, Kobe understands the importance of intense focus both on and off the court, and has always emphasized the meaning of team relationships. Breaking bread over a glass of wine with his teammates has always been a fond memory of team bonding for Kobe that stretches back to the early days of his career, and is what serves as the inspiration for the KOBE X Vino.

The sneaker is a new take on Kobe’s 10th signature shoe, and features a transparent base that’s swathed in a bright green tone which takes inspiration from the green grapes associated with white wine. Subtle black accents are found on the tongue, heel, Swoosh logo and laces, while mottled black is featured throughout the seamless textile upper. The unique pattern of the outsole allows for maximum traction.

The KOBE X Vino will also be part of a special mobile experience online with Nike Basketball, which will include an inside story about the KOBE X model and a webGL interactive model of the sneaker with animations, haptic vibrations and an audio accompaniment from Kobe himself. The sneaker will be released with matching apparel as well. Watch out for the KOBE X Vino’s global launch online as well as at select retail locations on March 7.
