Last night marked the end of an era on BBC Radio 1, as popular host Zane Lowe had his final show. It has been broadcast every Monday to Thursday from 7-9 p.m. since 2003, and over the years has seen Lowe host memorable interviews with the like of Kanye West, Eminem and Jay Z. Lowe is leaving his job with the BBC to move stateside for a position with Apple‘s music vertical, which is currently undergoing a rumored revamp. While details about the role are unclear at the moment, it is said to be focused largely on curation, including playlists made by famous musicians and DJs.
