On Monday, it was announced that Boston-based streetwear company Karmaloop has filed for bankruptcy protection. At the moment, the company has $3 million in their aid from investors to get them though Chapter 11, and are currently looking to sell their business to the highest bidder. JAY Z’s former manager and business partner, and former co-owner of Rocawear Damon Dash shares with Hip Hop Motivation’s Kenyatta Khari that he, along with superstar rapper-fashion designer Kanye West are looking to purchase the company. He shares: “Me and Kanye are gonna buy Karmaloop, so you’ll probably feel that by the time this is out.” Karmaloop’s founder Greg Selkoe says that Ye and Dame are not the only ones interested. He tells the Boston Business Journal: “We’ve spoken to a bunch of different people. We’ve heard from them and others too.
