Choosic Is Like Tinder, But for Music
Whether you’ll admit to using Tinder or not, one of the arguably most addictive and lasting
Whether you’ll admit to using Tinder or not, one of the arguably most addictive and lasting features of the app is the swipe action. Many apps have sought to adopt the swiping model in hopes of making it big and the latest competitor to try is music discovery app Choosic. Similar to Tinder, once you choose a genre on Choosic you like, you can either swipe right, in favor of the tune, or swipe left, to abandon a dreadful song. By swiping the app learns your likes and dislikes and becomes better at offering recommendations as you choose. Songs you like are collected into a playlist that’s ordered from when you liked them in the queue. While the creators of the app admit there will likely be some speed bumps, like licensing and functionality, they seem assured that this entertaining approach to music discovery will shake up the app world.
