Texting seems to have overtaken phone calls in today’s digital world so, it seems only natural that someone would invent an app to spruce up the world of instant messaging. At the F8 Developer Conference in San Francisco, Facebook announced they would be exploring new directions by opening up their messenger app to inventive third-party developers. The first of these would-be contenders is Zya Ditty, an auto-tune generator that transforms your message into an eloquent 20-second music video. By pairing your message with a background song, the app creates a brief text-based music video to the tune of, for example, Sia’s “Chandelier,” OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” or The Wisemen’s “Louie Louie,” among others. Watch a preview of what the app can do in the video below and head over to the iOS App Store or Google Play to download it.
