AMH — the collection of ‘retro cool garments’ established in 2009 and designed by Ashley Marc Hovelle — is known for its bold, graphic-driven designs and progressive aesthetic, and the brand’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection is no exception. This time around, the designer took inspiration from traditional Japanese kimonos — references reflected in the range’s distinctive shapes and patterns that were hand-illustrated to reflect the brand’s detailed design signature. Key pieces from the seasonal offering, as such, include street-ready basics like crewneck tees and sweatshirts updated with eye-catching zig-zag patterns, colorblocking and a stark black-and-white color palette, all of which reinterpret classic Japanese motifs in new and exciting ways. Look for AMH’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection now at the HYPEBEAST Store.
