Canadian up-and-comer Tory Lanez has arguably one of the most melodic, smoothest flows out of any young rapper-crooner out there, and now his undeniably-silky R&B showcase “Henny In Hand” receives an equally-silken, meticulously-shot-and-plotted visual courtesy of frequent video collaborator Andrew Hines (Big Sean, A$AP Ferg). Seriously, this whole package goes down far smoother than the liquor named in its title. Tory Lanez tells FADER the video for “Henny In Hand” is one of his “best videos conceptually,” and it’s hard to argue with him. Jodeci and their ilk are going to have to go back to the drawing boards after this one. This new drop from Tory Lanez comes at a time when he continues to experiment with his sound, having worked with beat-experimenter Snakeships recently and stepped into the studio with the WEDIDIT collective to record an entire EP. You can watch the video for “Henny In Hand” above, while Tory Lanez and WEDIDIT will release their joint EP on April 6.
