Shlohmo - Buried

Shlohmo has unveiled a fittingly-grim video to match the brutality and mood of his recent single, “Buried.” Shlohmo’s forthcoming LP, Dark Red, has been touted as a sonic exercise in darker themes, and the Lance Drake-directed video for “Buried” appears to take its inspirational cues from that approach. The visual for “Buried” is billed as exploring “the circle of life and death,” with its narrative labeled a “surreal, bloody nightmare.” It’s a dark, heavy, intense watch, and one that pairs perfectly with the dread and doom of the song. Shlohmo hasn’t been singled out and given that much praise for his videos in the past, but this should change that.
