It’s common for artists and their camps to commission talented producers to rework their original songs, but Nicolas Jaar has completely transformed Florence + the Machine‘s recent single “What Kind of Man.” Initially premiered last week via video, the song is morphed into a 12-minute avant-garde epic thanks to Jaar. Despite remaining relatively quiet since the dissolution of Darkside, Jaar has been making headlines recently for a similar effort. Jaar adopted a similar mindset towards making when he took it upon himself to soundtrack the obscure 1969 film The Color of Pomegranates a few days back. Jaar’s sound may be evolving as time goes on, but the quality remains. You can check out Nicolas Jaar’s take on “What Kind of Man” above.
