Agenda NYC sees many new designs and trends emerge from a variety of brands and labels, but the trade show also allows for new technologies and innovations to manifest itself. Material innovation propels apparel and footwear, with advancements in textile technology a focal point for the next best thing, it has the potential to revolutionize the industry. Providing a launchpad for many of these innovations, we talked to some exhibitors at Agenda about their next ingenious material. From microfibers, ballistic nylon, thermal-plastic fibers and nano technology, we find that the science of discovering the optimal material is just as important as style and aesthetics.
