Beyonce, A-Trak, Thundercat, Solange, Janelle Monae & More Pen Tributes to D'Angelo's 'Voodoo'
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of D’Angelo’s classic album Voodoo, Solange has rounded up

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of D’Angelo’s classic album Voodoo, Solange has rounded up fourteen different artists (including herself) to pen tributes to D’Angelo and the album. Beyonce, Thundercat, Janelle Monae, Kindness, A-Trak and Kitty Cash are just some of the names included in Solange’s project, and every artist seems to share a different story and take on the LP. Solange recalls listening to the album at the age of 12 and getting goosebumps, Beyonce labels Voodoo, “the DNA of black music,” A-Trak calls the record a “gift to the world,” and just about every artist involved seems to hold the album and D’Angelo in very, very high regard. You can check out all the statements about Voodoo at Solange’s Saint Heron website.
