As a part of its brand new “Classic” range, streetwear stalwart Stussy has tapped Japan’s CHUP to craft its “Defender” socks. Made in Japan using European linen and fine-combed yarn, the unique design is constructed by slowly braiding the fibers together on a rare, old-school pile machine — the result of which is a sock that’s now only distinctively firm and cushioned, but also quick-drying and water-absorbent. Stussy’s CHUP-crafted “Defender” socks will soon be available in both navy and olive for ¥2,300 JPY (approximately $20 USD) per pair at Stussy’s Japanese chapters, the Stussy Japan web store, and ZOZOTOWN.
