In its first ever homewares offering, Brooklyn label The Hill-Side has collaborated with modern furniture boutique CB2 on a unique range of stylish home goods. Inspired by some of The Hill-Side’s most memorable prints and woven patterns from previous collections, the two have reimagined a selection of upholstered furniture, rugs, bedding, bath towels and more. All of the materials used in the home goods set are modulations of components used in past seasons, manipulated to create something entirely new. A standout in the collection includes the “Disintegrated Floral Print” rug and floor cushion, which have been reworked from an enlarged and half-tone filtered model of the menswear label’s original floral prints. Through a meticulous creative process, the graphic yields an abstract and distorted variant that has been transformed into a hand-knotted rug by expert craftsmen in India. Other items include the Chambray Club Sofa, Palm Leaves Parlour Chair (which is a monochrome remodel of The Hill-Side’s esteemed Japanese indigo fabrics), Turkish towels, and the Workwear Blanket Stripe Dhurrie Pillow. The CB2 x The Hill-Side home collection will be available at CB2 stores and CB2.com on January 4, 2016.
