GoPro hasn’t had the greatest of years in 2015 — amid news of poor sales surrounding the launch of its HERO4 Session camera, the price at which the company’s stocks were trading had also plummeted 80 percent since their peak in October 2014. However, that’s not to mean that its fans are having any less of a ball with its products, as shown in this compilation of the best videos captured on GoPros this year. While extreme sports undoubtedly formed the core applications of GoPro cameras, the products have also been making headway in the lifestyle market, with a significant portion of the video dedicated to less adrenaline-filled scenes such as grocery shopping, a kitten being resuscitated, and a mid-air proposal. The increasing application of GoPros in music settings was also emphasized, following the company’s efforts to branch out into music venues (as covered in HYPETRAK Magazine‘s interview with GoPro Music in January).
GoPro still very much remains a household name for action cameras, and with the recent announcement of a new drone line for early 2016, here’s to hoping that the company sees better times in the coming year.
