Dame Helen Mirren stars as a UK-military officer orchestrating a drone operation against Kenyan terrorists in a first look at Eye in the Sky. After discovering that a suicide bombing is about to take place, Mirren’s character is keen on escalating the mission from simply capturing the terrorists to assassinating them. However, Aaron Paul who plays an American pilot in charge of the drone strike discovers that there’s collateral damage at stake and contemplates carrying out his orders. The heart-stopping clip provides a glimpse at all of the intricacies involved, from international disputes to modern warfare ethics – all during the timeline of the risk-taking operation. The film also features actors Alan Rickman (aka Severus Snape from Harry Potter) and Barkhad Abdi of Captain Phillips. Eye in the Sky is directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, Ender’s Game, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and set for a theatrical release in March 2016.
