A sequel over a decade in the making.
The first official trailer for the next edition in the Barbershop series, Barbershop: The Next Cut, has arrived. Per HYPEBEAST:
More than 10 years after our last appointment at Calvin’s spot, Barbershop is set to return to theaters next year with The Next Cut. Ice Cube’s Calvin and Cedric the Entertainer’s Eddie both return, but the barbershop itself has undergone a major change as the once male-dominated establishment has undergone a co-ed makeover — led by none other than Nicki Minaj’s Draya. Though things are good and well at the shop, the same can’t be said of the local community — thus forcing Calvin and the crew to come together to save the neighborhood.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee and also featuring the likes of Anthony Anderson, Eve, Common, Lamorne Morris, and Tyga, Barbershop: The Next Cut is due out April 15, 2016.
