Taylor Swift Sued For $42 Million Over "Shake It Off"
“Haters gone hate.”

Taylor Swift is being sued for $42 million for allegedly stealing the lyrics to “Shake It Off.” An R&B singer named Jesse Braham claims that the lyrics to her 2014 hit song was taken from a song in 2013 called “Haters Gone Hate.“ In Mr Braham’s song, the chorus goes: “Haters gone hater, playas gone play/ Watch out for them fakers, they’ll fake you everyday” while Swift’s song comprises of: “Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play/ And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate [...] And the fakers gonna fake, fake, fake, fake, fake.” Braham told New York Daily News: ”Her hook is the same hook as mine. If I didn’t write the song ‘Haters Gone Hate,’ there wouldn’t be a song called ‘Shake It Off.’ At first I was going to let it go, but this song is my song all the way.” Check the full article here and let us know what you think.
