Haleek Maul‘s first release in three years, Prince Midas channels the elastic and industrial sounds of contemporary electronic music, combining elements of Dancehall with piercing Rap percussion. The album prominently features production from NYC producer Shy Guy, who executive produced and mixed the album, along with avant-electro producers WIFE, Dubbel Dutch, Last Japan, Boody, Stelios Phili, Cubby and Black Noi$e. Contorted vocal textures and harmonies become the backdrop for Haleek’s often dark and self-reflecting rap verses and it’s well reflected on this latest project, listen above.
